The driving lessons may start half a year before reaching the required minimum age. This way the class can be concluded in time upon reaching the minimum age.

Class B / Class BF17

Motor vehicles with a maximum authorised mass not exceeding 3500 kg and designed and constructed for the carriage of no more than eight passengers in addition to the driver; motor vehicles in this category may be combined with a trailer having a maximum authorised mass which does not exceed 750 kg.

Additionally to manual transmission we also offer education with automatic transmission.

Requirements:

• minimum age 17 - supervised driving (BF17)
• minimum age 18  (B)

Additional information on supervised driving:
Upon acquisition of the driving permit BF17, the driving will be handed a test certificate instead of a driving licence. This certificate and an official ID has to be kept on person when driving a vehicle.
A person accompanying the driver must be present at anytime during the ride. Said person should not intervene in driving process, he/she should only provide counsel and fill a supporting role. The supervisor must be registered within the test certificate and fulfill the following critirias:

• minimum age 30
• continiously own a class B driving permit for at least 5 years
• Have equal or less than one point registered in the German Federal Office for Motor Vehicles in Flensburg

Class BE (available from September 2016)

Combination of vehicles consisting of a tractor vehicle in category B and a trailer, where the combination is not covered by category B .
Motor vehicles with maximum authorised mass (MAM) not exceeding 3500 kilograms and a
- trailer with MAM exceeding 750 kg, if the MAM exceeds the curb weight of the tractor vehicle,
- trailer with MAM exceeding 750 kg, if the maximum authorised mass of the combination exceeds 3 500 kilograms and the maximum authorised mass of the trailer does not exceed the curb weight of the tractor vehicle.
Holders of previous category 3 driving licences may tow all single-axle trailers (including trailers with twin axles) with their vehicles.Without prejudice to the provisions of type-approval rules for the vehicles concerned, combination of vehicles consisting of a tractor vehicle in category B and a trailer or semi-trailer where the maximum authorised mass of the trailer or semi-trailer does not exceed 3500 kg.

Class A1

Motorcycles with a cylinder capacity not exceeding 125 cm³ and a power not exceeding 11 kW with a power/weight ratio not exceeding 0,2 kW/kg; and motor tricycles with a power not exceeding 15 kW.

Class A2

Motorcycles of a power not exceeding 35 kW and with a power/weight ratio not exceeding 0,2 kW/kg and not derived from a vehicle of more than double its power.
Only a practical test is required, when owning an A1 licence for at least two years.

• minimum age 18

Any motorcycle or motor tricycle with more than 50 cm³.
Only a practical test is required, when owning an A2 licence for at least two years.

Requirements:

• minimum age 20 - when owning A2 class for at least 2 years
• minimum age 24 - when directly acquiring class A without owning previous motorcycle driving permit classes.
